In a post to X (formerly Twitter), Donald Trump Jr. has promised a “huge” crypto announcement. Indeed, he assured that the incoming news would be set to “shake up” the crypto world. Moreover, he proclaimed that “decentralized finance is the future.”
Since Trump announced his bid for reelection, cryptocurrency has become a focus of his campaign. Speaking at the Bitcoin Conference 2024, he revealed a plan to ensure BTC is a strategic reserve asset embraced by the US government. Now, it appears a massive announcement is in the works.

Trump to “Shake Up Crypto” With Incoming Announcement
With the November presidential election looming, crypto has become a focal point. However, it has ceased to be a partisan issue. To this point, Donald Trump has stood on the side of the asset class. He has already assured his advocacy of cryptocurrencies throughout his presidential campaign.
Yet, it appears more is coming. In an X post, Donald Trump Jr. promised a “huge” crypto announcement. “Decentralized finance is the future- don’t get left behind,” the son of the 45th President added. In a subsequent post, he added that “big things are coming.”

Additionally, Eric Trump added to the speculation. In a post, he said, “I have truly fallen in love with crypto/DeFi.” Moreover, Trump called on his followers to “stay tuned for a big announcement.” Although there is yet to be an insight into what that announcement is, the hype is undeniable.
The embrace of crypto is nothing new for the former President. “If I am elected, it will be the policy of my administration, the United States of America, to keep 100% of all the Bitcoin the US government currently holds or acquires into the future,” he said in Nashville this year. He added, “This will serve, in effect, as the core of the strategic national Bitcoin stockpile.”
